Join Us in Funding it Forward
For nearly 70 years, the ADHA Foundation (formerly Institute for Oral Health) has supported students, researchers and community programs that expand access to care and elevate the dental hygiene profession. In collaboration with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), we transform generosity into opportunity through:
- Scholarships that help hygienists learn and grow
- Grants that drive innovation in care and research
- Community programs that deliver smiles where they’re needed most
“The Esther Wilkins Scholarship transformed my career. Now I get to help my students do the same.”
— Abby Rennau, RDH, BSDH, MEd
Every Gift Makes a Difference
Last year alone, ADHA Foundation delivered:
- $175,000 awarded in scholarships, research, community service, and travel grants
- 84 ADHA members receiving direct assistance
- Service to hundreds of children through Healthy Smiles community care events powered by the ADHA Mars Wrigley Foundation grant
When hygienists support hygienists, everyone shines brighter.
Your donation will support initiatives such as these recent ADHA Foundation-funded programs that:
- Delivered mobile preventive care to 6,000+ rural patients
- Provided oral care to 1,000+ underserved children and caregivers
- Brought onsite oral care to seniors on Medicaid
- Gave uninsured patients access to restorative care
- Funded a study on implicit bias and diversity in dental hygiene
- Taught oral health skills to Minnesota children living in foster care
