ADHA’s committees play a vital role in advancing the mission of the association and supporting the dental hygiene profession. Each committee operates under a specific charge that defines its purpose, responsibilities, and scope of work. See below how this committee contributes to ADHA’s strategic priorities.

Purpose:
The ADHA Committee on Policy ensures the ADHA Policy Manual remains current, accurate, and aligned with the goals of the association. Members may submit proposed policies and amendments for consideration through the Policies & Bylaws section of ADHA.org.
Charge:
The Committee on Policy evaluates existing policies for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational priorities, solicits new policies and amendments from state leaders through ADHA communication channels, ensures submissions are clearly written without budgetary requirements and do not conflict with existing policies, and makes formal recommendations to the ADHA Board of Directors for new policies, amendments, and deletions.
