The American Dental Hygienists’ Association Political Action Committee (HYPAC) is the only federal PAC representing the interests of dental hygienists. HYPAC amplifies the voice of the dental hygiene community in Washington, D.C., and enables dental hygienists to collectively support federal candidates.
HYPAC is a group of politically active ADHA members who voluntarily pool their resources to support candidates for congressional office who are well-placed to support the professional interests of dental hygienists and the patients they serve. HYPAC enables dental hygienists to interface directly with candidates for federal office to ensure that candidates are aware of the role of the dental hygienist on the dental team and the impact the profession has on the delivery of care.
HYPAC can only receive contributions from what is referred to as the “restricted class.” This includes ADHA members, their families, and ADHA staff.
Contributions to HYPAC are strictly voluntary. Refusal to contribute may be done without reprisal. The contribution guidelines are merely suggestions. You may contribute more or less than the guidelines suggest. Annual contributions exceeding $200 will be reported to the Federal Election Commission as required by law. Contributions are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution for federal or state tax purposes.
