Local Foundations
The
Arthur Foundation (Illinois)
The Arthur Foundation is committed to the tradition of community service
first established by Arthur MacNeal at the turn of the 20th century. The
Foundation strives to be an agent of positive change through its support
of high quality, leading-edge programs in education, health care, and
medical research.
Blue
Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island
BCBSRI funds projects and initiatives that are closely aligned with their
corporate vision: To improve the quality of life of Rhode Islanders by
improving their health. Funded initiatives must be aligned with at least
one of the following areas of focus: Access to healthcare for uninsured/underserved
populations, disparities in health status for minority populations, access
to oral health care, health promotion and prevention.
Brandywine
Health & Wellness Foundation (Pennsylvania)
The Brandywine Health & Wellness Foundation has as its major grant
making focus increasing access to medical, dental, and mental health services
for residents of central and western Chester County, removing insurance
and language barriers.
The
California Endowment
The California Endowment is a private, statewide health foundation that
was created to expand access to affordable, quality health care for underserved
individuals and communities, and to promote fundamental improvements in
the health status of all Californians.
Campbell
Hoffman Foundation
The Campbell Hoffman Foundation funding priorities include the areas of
oral health, mental health, and pharmaceutical access initiatives within
certain geographic boundaries of specific Virginia counties.
Caring
for Colorado Foundation
Grants in the funding priority area called "Oral Health Improvement"
seek to address the need for better access to oral services for the underserved.
Their Oral Health Improvement Program has two goals: 1) Increase the long-
term capacity of the oral health safety net to meet the needs of the underserved
in Colorado, and 2) Enable a new generation of Colorado children to be
free of the devastating consequences of oral disease.

Health Foundation
The Connecticut Health Foundation is the state's largest independent,
nonprofit foundation dedicated to improving health through policy research,
technical assistance, and grant making in areas of oral health, children's
mental health and racial and ethnic health disparities.
Delta
Dental Plan of Colorado Foundation
The Delta Dental Plan of Colorado Foundation promotes activities towards
the improvement of oral health care in Colorado. The Foundation mission
is to sponsor programs that prevent dental disease and advance the science
and practice of dentistry.
Delta
Dental Plan of Kansas Foundation
The Foundation is interested in raising public awareness of oral health
issues and encourages applicants to make this a part of any funded project
through media communications and community participation.
Endowment
for Health
The Endowment for Health foundation funds efforts to improve the (oral)
health and well-being of New Hampshire residents, especially those who
are most vulnerable and currently underserved.
FISA
Foundation
FISA Foundation's mission is to build a culture of respect and improve
the quality of life for three populations in southwestern Pennsylvania:
women, girls, and people with disabilities. Emphasis is given to addressing
gaps and unmet needs in the community.

for Community Health (Connecticut)
The Foundation for Community Health is dedicated to improving the health
of its neighbors in the Greater Harlem Valley and the Litchfield Hills.
Grant making in the area of oral health focuses on a more in-depth assessment
of the prevalence of disease as well as opportunities for increasing community
awareness of oral health and its vital role in one’s overall health
and productivity.
The
Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts, Inc.
To achieve its goal to improve the health of those who live or work in
Central Massachusetts, the Foundation is focusing its grant making and
other activities by targeting disparities in health status and access
to care, with particular attention given to caregivers, the working poor,
and underserved children, youth and elders.

Health Trust (California)
The Health Trust is leading the community to advance wellness in order
to transform Silicon Valley into the healthiest region in the country.
Their programs, partnerships, collaborations and grant making activities
are strategically focused on supporting those individuals and communities
that do not have access to the health-related services and resources they
need.

Children’s Healthcare Foundation
The Illinois Children's Healthcare Foundation (ILCHF) has a single mission:
to ensure that every child in Illinois has access to affordable and quality
health care. As such, its grant making is designed to close the gap between
children who have access to care and those who are underserved.
Irvine
Health Foundation
The Irvine Health Foundation’s goal is to improve the health - consisting
of physical, mental and emotional well-being - of the residents of Orange
County, California.

Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc.
Methodist Healthcare Ministries provides care to the underserved through
health and human services and programs that it owns and operates, and
through financial support of established organizations that are already
effectively fulfilling the needs of the underserved.

Muir/Mt. Diablo Community Health Fund (California)
The John Muir/Mt. Diablo Community Health Fund awards grants to community-based
programs and strategic initiatives that aim to make an impact on challenges
and circumstances that adversely affect the health of uninsured and underserved
families, children and youth, seniors and other adults.

Health Foundation (Massachusetts)
The Oral Health Foundation is dedicated to substantially improving the
oral health, and therefore the quality of life, of the residents in the
areas served by DSM and its subsidiaries.

Heritage Foundations (Ohio)
Consistent with this mission, the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations fund
projects and programs to improve community health and quality of life
and to advance osteopathic healthcare through support of osteopathic medical

Valley Community Health Trust (California)
The Pajaro Valley Community Health Trust is dedicated to building a healthier
community in the greater Pajaro Valley. The Trust provides grants for
projects that advance our mission to improve the health and quality of
life for all people of the greater Pajaro Valley.
QueensCare
(California)
QueensCare established the Charitable Division - its grant making program
- to support nonprofit agencies engaged in community health care serving
low income, uninsured residents of Los Angeles.

BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon
Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon supports programs and research
designed to broaden health coverage for all children, improve knowledge
and understanding of what kids need to be healthy, and reduces social
and cultural barriers that impede their ability to be healthy and successful.

B. Reynolds Charitable Trust
The Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust conducts grant making activity exclusively
in North Carolina. It is administered through two divisions: The health
care division and the poor and needy division.

The Health Fund works to achieve its mission primarily through grants
made to nonprofit organizations working to improve the health, healing,
and wholeness of Kansans.

Health Care Foundation
The Virginia Health Care Foundation supports innovative ideas that bring
local solutions to local problems, encourages public and private organizations
to work together to make health care more available, and provides funding
to Virginia's communities to build sustainable networks of care.

Dental Service Foundation
Their mission is to promote the oral heath of the public, sponsoring and
innovating programs for the advancement of oral health.

Square Health Foundation, Inc. (Illinois)
The Washington Square Health Foundation, Inc. grants funds in order to
promote and maintain access to adequate healthcare for all people in the
Chicagoland area regardless of race, sex, creed or financial need. The
Foundation meets this goal through its grants for medical and nursing
education, medical research and direct healthcare services.

The Williamsburg Community Health Foundation is dedicated to improving
