Government Sites

Grants.gov

Grants.gov is THE single access point for over 1,000 grant programs offered by all Federal grant making agencies. Below are selected sites that provide grant funding focused on oral and general health care.

HHS
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the United States government's principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services. The department has more than 300 programs and administers more grant dollars than all other federal agencies combined. Included in the department are the following:

AHRQ
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) mission is to improve the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care for all Americans. Information from AHRQ's research helps people make more informed decisions and improve the quality of health care services.

CDC
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is the federal agency with primary responsibility for supporting state- and community-based programs to prevent oral disease, promoting oral health nationwide, and fostering applied research to enhance oral disease prevention in community settings.

HRSA
The Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) oral health programs promote improved dental health and access to dental care for low-income children, individuals with special health care needs, and people living in medically underserved areas.

NIH
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the primary Federal agency for conducting and supporting medical research. Helping to lead the way toward important medical discoveries that improve people’s health and save lives, NIH scientists investigate ways to prevent disease as well as the causes, treatments, and even cures for common and rare diseases.

NIDCR
One of the agencies of the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) is focused on improving oral, dental and craniofacial health through research, research training, and the dissemination of health information.
