Two major publications are produced by ADHA—a national magazine and a
scientific journal—as well as a number of specialty newsletters.
Access
Access is an informative, four-color magazine that focuses on
health and practice news, professional issues, and legislative developments.
It provides late-breaking news on issues that are important to dental
hygienists--managed care, multiple practice settings, infection control,
genetic engineering, women's health, product news, new technology, and
periodontal trends. Access also brings you regular departments in quick-read
formats designed for busy schedules.

September-October 2009 Issue:
Dental Stem Cells in Research and Practice
State Becomes First to Sign Mid-level Oral Health Care Providers into Law
Over the past decade, dental stem cells have been receiving attention from researchers due to their potential for regenerating tissue both in the orofacial region and in other parts of the body. Jean Majeski looks at dental stem cells’ status in research, their potential applications in practice and the role of the dental hygienist in educating patients to make decisions about collecting and storing them. On the cover: One of many well-received continuing education courses features at the 2009 Center for Lifelong Learning.
