| Using
Adobe Acrobat files
Many forms and literature such as brochures and
newsletters on the ADHA Web site are made available as Portable Document
Format (PDF) files. This format preserves the visual layout of original
documents while making them easy to access online.
To view PDF files you must either have Adobe Acrobat
or Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Many computers are
now shipped with Adobe Acrobat preinstalled, however, the program can
also be freely downloaded by clicking the image below.
Viewing and Saving Files
To view a pdf file in most browsers, you can simply click on the link
to that file and wait for it to load into the browser window. Afterwards,
you can save the file to a location of your choice by selecting the "Save"
or Save As" command from the "File" menu, or by clicking
on the disk icon on the menu bar. You can also save a pdf file directly
to a location of your choice by right-clicking the link to the file and
selecting a destination. You can then open the file by double-clicking
it or opening it from Adobe Acrobat.
Entering Information
and Sending Files
Some pdf files on ADHA's Web site have been created to allow information
to be typed directly into the open pdf file. To enter text, left click
on a line and type in the appropriate information. Use the "Tab"
key to cycle through each field and hold both the "Shift" and
"Tab" keys to cycle backward. To "check" or "mark"
checkboxes, left click on them or press the "Enter" key when
you have tabbed to the correct location. When you have completed a form,
you can print it then fax or mail it to ADHA (if appropriate). If you
have the "full" version of Acrobat, you can re-save the file
and send it to ADHA as an email attachment.
If you are having problems with any pdf document
or require additional instructions, please email webmaster@adha.net.
