ADHA has a proud history of working with corporate supporters to provide potential leaders with the skills and tools they need to lead their fellow dental hygienists to successfully accomplish our state organizations’ goals. The Unleashing Your Potential Weekend has a new look for the second year in a row in 2010! It is no longer limited to the president-elect of each state. An application process has been put into place which will allow all interested members the opportunity to be chosen to attend this strategic workshop, November 12-14, 2010.

Applications are due on or before August 1, 2010. Download your application now. Don’t miss your opportunity to attend this leadership workshop!

Registration & Participation
All ADHA members are eligible to apply to participate in this leadership weekend. Participants will be chosen by the ADHA Governance Committee in consultation with the president. Those chosen to participate in the weekend workshop should consider themselves scholarship recipients as there is no registration fee. Please read these details carefully as your application will be considered your commitment to attend should you be chosen.

Dates and Times
Participants must agree to arrive in Chicago in time to be downtown at the host hotel no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, November 12, 2010. The workshop will end at 3:00pm on Sunday, November 14 so participants may book flights for 5:00pm and later.

Airfare
Applicants chosen to attend the 2010 Unleashing Your Potential Weekend will receive roundtrip airfare to Chicago. Airline tickets will be purchased through ADHA’s travel agent or our funder’s travel agent. Please do not make a reservation until you receive specific information on who to call.

Hotel
Participants will be matched up and assigned to a double occupancy hotel for the nights of Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13.

Meals
Several meals will be served to the group during the workshop. Those are Friday reception, Saturday breakfast and lunch, Sunday breakfast and lunch. Staff will be happy to provide local expertise on where to eat Saturday evening when you are on your own.

Ground Transportation
Ground transportation and other incidentals are on your own. For the adventuresome, we recommend the Chicago Transit Authority’s blue line for $2.25. Some may prefer to take a shuttle bus, or arrange to share a cab with another attendee. Staff will provide maps, links and a list of who is arriving when at a later date.

Notification of Participation
Applicants will receive notification of participation 4 – 6 weeks after the August 1 deadline.
