ADHA Institute for Oral Health (IOH) News from Annual Session

While the official numbers are not yet in for the total Institute fundraising at annual session, preliminary estimates for the fundraising booth and the silent auction are more than $23,000. Calculations are underway for the 2005 ADHA Institute Fundraising Gala.

It was announced at the event that in the 2004-2005 fiscal year the Institute for Oral Health funded approximately $100,000 in scholarships, research grants, community service grants and fellowships. The ADHA Institute would like to thank its donors for their support of the foundation and commitment to the profession of dental hygiene.

2005 Institute Awards

The 2005 ADHA Institute awards are designed to honor liaisons and member organizations who have used their resources—both time and money—to help increase funding for IOH programs. The Liz Chaney Liaison of the Year award honors a volunteer who has greatly impacted the ADHA Institute through the role of liaison, while the four categorical awards honor ADHA member organizations that have contributed in a significant way. The ADHA Institute would like to thank all of the award recipients for the commitment that they have shown this past year, and is proud to recognize that dedication at this time.

This prestigious award is bestowed upon an individual whose exceptional service and accomplishments are demonstrated through extraordinary fundraising skills on behalf of the ADHA Institute for Oral Health.
