Focus for the Future Report Has Been Released

The long-awaited Dental Hygiene: Focus for the Future report was approved at the winter board meeting with the following new title: Dental Hygiene: Focus on Advancing the Profession. This comprehensive report encompassed far more than just the future of the dental hygiene profession. In fact, the report expertly and logically documented the history and current events, as well as captured an innovative direction for dental hygiene’s future. As a result, the board members felt that the title should more accurately reflect the report’s final content, which has evolved over its development into both a reflection and a charge for advancement.

The expertise of the advisory committee members is well represented in the report and ADHA truly appreciates their time and effort in the development and completion of this important document. ADHA was pleased to officially release the report at the 2005 annual session.
