| AADHA Announces Recipient
of 2007 Irene Newman Professional Achievement Award
Chicago—July 12, 2007—The
American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) has named Heidi
Philley, RDH, of Clinton, N.Y., as a recipient of the 2007 Irene
Newman Professional Achievement Award. She was honored during the
opening ceremonies at ADHA’s 84th annual session in New Orleans,
La., on June 22nd.

– Crest Oral-B, the award recognizes a current ADHA member
who has been involved with ADHA for at least 15 years and who has
demonstrated outstanding achievement in advancing the art and science
of dental hygiene. The nominees well all active volunteers within
their community or social service organization and were nominated
by an active ADHA member.
Philley has served as president of the Mohawk
Valley Dental Hygienists’ Association, as well as the New
York Dental Hygienists’ Association. She received her Associate
Degree in Applied Science in 1964 from Erie Community College in
Buffalo, N.Y. For the past seven years, she has worked in clinical
practice for Lisa Lester, DMD of Clinton. Clinton residents for
nearly 30 years, She and her husband Jerry have three grown daughters,
Jennifer, Jessica and Joanna Actively involved in her community,
Philley attends St. James Church and has served on the Clinton Historical
Society Board of Directors for many years. She is a regular volunteer
for health fairs and dental health presentations given in local
schools.
