| ADHA Announces Recipient of
2006 Distinguished Service Award
Chicago—August 1, 2006—The
American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) has named Bonnie
Nothoff, RDH, of Kewadin, Mich., as a recipient of the 2006 ADHA
Distinguished Service Award.
The award recognizes outstanding achievement
and dedication to the profession of dental hygiene.
Nothoff, a graduate of Delta College in Bay
City, Mich., is politically active having run for the office of
State Representative of the 105th district in Mich., on a healthcare
platform, in 2004. She is currently Secretary of her county party
and is President of the Women’s Republican Party in Antrim
County. She also owns her own consulting firm, “Nothoff Legislative
Research & Consulting LLC.”
Nothoff has been actively involved with ADHA
serving as a State Delegate, and a member of ADHA’s Council
on Finance.
Nothoff was honored during the opening ceremonies
at ADHA’s 83rd annual session in Orlando, Fla., on June 24.
ADHA is the largest national organization
representing the professional interests of more than 120,000 dental
hygienists across the country. Dental hygienists are preventive
oral health professionals, licensed in dental hygiene, who provide
educational, clinical and therapeutic services that support total
