2006 Wrigley/ADHA Tobacco Intervention Award Presented to Trudy M. Tong

Chicago—July 31, 2006—The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) has named Trudy M. Tong, RDH, MS, of Woodland Park, Colo., as a recipient of the 2006 Wrigley/ADHA Tobacco Intervention Award, on behalf of the Colorado Dental Hygienists’ Association.

The award, sponsored by the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, recognizes outstanding tobacco intervention efforts within the community by dental hygienists.

Tong received her associate degree in dental hygiene from New York City Community College, her Bachelor of Science from Brooklyn College in New York, and her Master of Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is currently works with the Southern Colorado Aids Project

Tong was honored at ADHA’s 83rd annual session in Orlando, Fla. on June 24th where she received $2,000 and a commemorative award.
