| Erin Tintzman Wins 2005 ADHA
Future Leader Award
Chicago—July 7, 2005—The
American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) has named Erin
Tintzman, RDH, of Kalispell, Mont., as the recipient of the 2005
ADHA Future Leader Award.
The award was created to recognize dental
hygienists who exhibit a strong commitment to the dental hygiene
profession and have demonstrated leadership in ADHA within five
years of graduation. Tintzman was nominated by her state organization,
the Montana Dental Hygienists’ Association (MDHA).
Tintzman graduated with her bachelor of science
degree in dental hygiene from the University of Colorado in Denver,
and has been an active member with ADHA since 2001. She has served
as an officer for the MDHA since 2002.
Tintzman was honored at the opening ceremonies
of ADHA’s 82nd annual session in Las Vegas on June 25th.
ADHA is the largest national organization
representing the professional interests of more than 120,000 dental
hygienists across the country. Dental hygienists are preventive
oral health professionals, licensed in dental hygiene, who provide
educational, clinical and therapeutic services that support total
