ADHA Announces Recipient of 2009 Crest Clinical Dental Hygienist Award
The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) has named Mary C. Kelly, RDH, BS, of Des Moines, Iowa, as the recipient of the Crest Clinical Dental Hygienist Award. She was honored during the Saturday Plenary Session and ADHA Award Presenatations at ADHA’s 86th Annual Session in Washington, D.C., on June 20.
This award recognizes clinical dental hygienists who made a difference in the lives of their patients/clients through one of a number of means including management, education or care services for patients/clients; the use of technology; or other innovative methods.
Kelly graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene in 1982. She has also been an active member of ADHA continuously for 25 years, holding the ADHA District Trustee position from 2004-2008, as well as many other positions on local, state and national levels. Kelly is currently employed at the Des Moines Health Center.
