ADHA Seeks Director of Corporate Development

The candidate chosen for this position will be a self-motivated, experienced professional who will be able to represent the association’s vision for the future and create opportunities with our corporate partners to achieve mutually beneficial strategic partnerships.  Developing partnerships with non-dental related organizations is also key as this individual will be held responsible for securing annual corporate funding of $1 million.

The Director of Corporate Development also has responsibility for managing the ADHA Institute for Oral Health, which is the association’s fundraising arm supporting education and research.  Developing new areas of funding for the Institute is another key component of the position.

The candidate chosen for this position will be comfortable with the consultative sales process, have a working knowledge of contemporary corporate environments and be able to effectively manage the corporate proposal process during a variety of association events, including the ADHA Annual Meeting. Ability to work in a team environment is essential. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years progressive experience in fundraising, development or sales, preferably in a not-for-profit arena required. Experience in the dental industry is a plus. Strong oral and written communication skills and computer literacy required.

Salary will be commensurate with background and experience.  Interested parties should send resume and salary requirements in confidence to Human Resources, 444 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 3400, Chicago, IL 60611 or jobs@adha.net.  Please outline your qualifications and salary requirements for this position in a comprehensive cover letter.

Earn Your Wings
In celebration of National Dental Hygiene Month in October, on behalf of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) and the National Children’s Oral Health Foundation (NCOHF), we invite all dental hygienists to “earn your wings” by participating in the ADHA Toothfairy Campaign.

Join your colleagues across America and become a Toothfairy. For each tax deductible, minimum contribution of $25, your name will be entered to win a pair of Sybron Orascoptic Loupes ($50 = 2 entries, $75 = 3 entries).  With $50 or more, you will receive a Toothfairy pin.

Add your name to the growing list of Toothfairies. Raffle winners and Toothfairies will be announced in the November ADHA Update and issues of dental hygiene journals, showcasing all who are making a difference on the frontline of defense – where care begins.

Please forward this email to 10 of your closest colleagues. Let’s increase participation by the end of October and show the world our power in numbers.
