Course Goals
The purpose of this continuing education course is to review the
scientific and clinical evidence pertaining to dentin hypersensitivity. The pain experience associated with hypersensitivity, the prevalence of the condition, relevant tooth/root biology, pain transmission theory, etiology of dentin exposure, clinical assessment considerations, clinical research issues, treatment approaches, and therapeutic agents and options will be discussed.
